Pertamina looks for partners to operate non-core blocks

State oil and gas company Pertamina will hold open tender to search for partners to operate more than 10 oil, gas working areas in Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan, a company official said on Wednesday.

Senior VP Upstream Business Development Gunung Sardjono Hadi told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday that the areas would consist of producing and exploration blocks that Pertamina considered ?non-core?.

?Pertamina is rationalizing its portfolio by handing over operations of non-core areas to partner,? he said, adding that partner will get 15 percent split of what Pertamina would get for oil and 20 percent for gas.

He hinted that the tender would be launched in 1-2 months time.(alex)
