Pertamina is forced to decrease prices of unsubsidized fuel Pertamax, Pertamax Plus and Pertadex by Rp.300-400 per liter due to slumping sales.
The decision was made only a week after Pertamina increased the brands? prices by average Rp.600 per liter. Pertamina?s fuel division head Djaelani Sutomo said that the price increase caused the premium brands? consumption to decrease by 5-10 percent as consumers were switching to cheaper subsidized gasoline and diesel fuel.
New pieces for Pertamax for Java area is Rp.6,000 per liter (from Rp.6,400), Pertamax plus Rp.6,250 (Rp.6,600) and Pertadex Rp.6,100 (Rp.6,400)(*)
