Pertamina Lubricants operates new production facility, launches new product

PT Pertamina Lubricants, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, on Thursday started operating a newly expanded lubricant production facility in Jakarta, dubbed as the largest integrated production facility in Southeast Asia.

Pertamina said in a statement that the new production facility has annual capacity to produce 270 million liters of lube oil blending plant, 8,000 metric tons of grease plant, and 14 million liters of viscosity modifier plant.

Elsewhere, Pertamina Lubricants has also launched a new lubricant product under the brand of Meditran SX Bio, specifically designed car engines consuming biodiesel fuel (FAME content 20%).

Pertamina Lubricants operates three domestic production facilities including in Jakarta, Gresik, and Cilacap, and one in Thailand with combined capacity of 535 million liters per year.
