Pertamina may carry out LPG conversion program for farmers

State energy company PT Pertamina may be appointed to carry out the subsidized fuel-to-LPG conversion (converted kit) program for next year by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR).
Spokesperson of MEMR Agung Pribadi said the ministry targets to distribute 50,000 packages of 3-kg LPG canisters next year, of which 40,000 packages will be distributed to farmers and 10,000 packages to fishermen.
He hinted that Pertamina may be appointed to carry out the program in line with the Presidential Decree Number 38/2019 on the Supply, Distribution and Determination of the Price of LPG for Fishermen and Farmers.
The government plans to allocate Rp432.5 billion to fund the fuel-to-LPG conversion program for 2020, targeting 23 provinces. (*)
