Pertamina may export kerosene next year

State oil and gas company PT.Pertamina may export some of kerosene produced from its refineries next year as domestic consumption for the fuel decreased sharply, CEO Ari Soemarno said on Friday.

Ari said that kerosene to LPG conversion program undertaken by the government and Pertamina to cut consumption of the heavily subsidized fuel had been successful and now Pertamina had excess kerosene stock in its inventory.

Ari did not give specific detail about the volume of kerosene the company wanted to export, but said it had eyeing possibility to export the fuel to China. (godang)
