Pertamina may have discovered more gas, condensate in W. Java

PT Pertamina EP, a unit of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina may have discovered more hydrocarbons during its recent drilling in onshore West Java area.

Pertamina EP President Director Salis Aprilian told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that the Bambu Besar-01 exploration well, which was drilled to the depth of 3,300 meters, had shown indication of gas and condensate.

Salis said further tests to determine the well?s flow is currently being conducted.

The well was spudded in June 2009.

Pertamina EP had also earlier discovered oil, gas from Karang Tunggal-1 exploration well, which is also located in West Java area. (bernard)
