Pertamina may have hit oil in W. Java

Pertamina EP, a unit of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) may have hit oil in its drilling in Indramayu, West Java, a company official said on Wednesday.

CEO Salis Aprilian told Petromindo.Com that the Karang Luhur-1 well had been drilled to the planned depth and is currently being logged.

Testing will take place next week but there is indication of oil discovery, he said without giving detail. (bernard)
