Pertamina may up gas supply to Muara Tawar power plant

State oil and gas company PT.Pertamina may be able to increase gas supply to PLN?s Muara Tawar power plant in Bekasi, West Java to 50MMCFD from 23MMCFD currently from its Pondok Tengah oil, gas complex, also located in Bekasi.
?Current reserves are sufficient to increase production to 50MMCFD in one or two years? time. Pertamina s currently in talks with PLN over the possibility,? PT. Pertamina EP CEO Tri Siwindono said on Friday. PT. Pertamina EP is an upstream arm of Pertamina.
Currently Pondok Tengah complex supplies 23 MMCFD of gas to Muara Tawar under two-year contract that started May 2008. PLN pay US$4.5 per MMBTU for up to 30BBTUD. PLN will pay $5.4 per MMBTU for excess supply.(godang)
