Pertamina, National Police sign security accord

State oil and gas firm Pertamina and the National Police on Tuesday signed an accord to protect the country's oil and gas assets and curb manipulations in the distribution of the commodities.
Signing the agreement were Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Pertamina president director Baihaki Hakim, National Police Chief Gen. Da?i Bachtiar and National Police Deputy Chief Insp. Gen. Dewa KG Astika.
Purnomo said existing oil and gas law, which went into effect late last year, makes a special mention about the importance of providing adequate security for oil and gas facilities. (Godang)
