State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina is negotiating with several oil and gas companies which own refineries in Asia Pacific including Royal Dutch Shell and ExxonMobil, which owns refineries in Singapore, to process its crude production share from Iraq.
The firm is also negotiating with Reliance Petroleum Ltd, Essar Oil Ltd, and India Oil Corp. Ltd which own refineries in India. Besides, the firm is negotiating with refinery owners in South Korea, Japan and China, Daniel Purba, Pertamina?s Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) recently said.
He said Pertamina expected to clinch a crude processing deal with either one of them this year.
Pertamina has an oil production share of 800,000 barrels per month from the Basra field in Iraq. The firm plans to have the crude processed in overseas refineries, pay the refinery owner a processing fee and take the oil products to Indonesia.
