Pertamina obtains approval for C. Java FSRU

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has obtained approval from its shareholders including State Minister of State-Owned Enterprises to proceed with the planned construction of the Central Java Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU).
The company, which obtained the approval in August, is currently awaiting for certainty over the required LNG allocation, which is expected to come from Bontang and Mahakam blocks.
?We?ll need 1.5 up to 2 MTPA of LNG for the Central Java FSRU,? Director of Gas at Pertamina, Hari Karyuliarto told Petromindo.com.
He added that Pertamina has prepared the necessary infrastructure facilities to construct the planned FSRU.
