Pertamina obtains IGU membership

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina said on Friday it has on Thursday been officially accepted as member of the International Gas Union (IGU).
The company said that the IGU membership would help Pertamina in building network with the global gas industry players.
IGU is a non-profit organization set up in 1931 with a mission to promote international gas trade, non-discriminative gas contracts, as well as the development environmentally friend gas technology. Its membership currently reaches over 142, both industry associations and companies engaged in the sector, which together controls 95 percent of the global gas market.
