Pertamina offers cooperation for marginal fields

State oil and gas company PT.Pertamina is offering participation of foreign and domestic investors to further explore and develop 41 marginal fields owned by the company.
Pertamina president Widya Purnama said investment is needed to find new oil, gas reserves in those fields as. He said most of the fields offered for cooperation are located in Southern part of Sumatra, Jambi and West Java.
International firms such as Anadarko Petroleum, Santos Limited and Sinopec had expressed interest, he said, without giving further detail.
Pertamina?s working areas, that are located all over the country, are considered to be one highly potential and under-explored hydrocarbon areas as the company has only limited fund to conduct full exploration. (godang)
