Pertamina offers new block to be jointly explored with Petronas, PetroVietnam

State oil and gas company Pertamina said on Wednesday that the company is preparing another new onshore block in Central Java to be explored jointly with Petronas and PetroVietnam if both consider Kendal exploration block is not prospective enough.

"We offer Randu Gunting exploration block near Cepu as alternative for Kendal block," said Pertamina acting upstream director Eteng Salam.

The three companies had been involved in joint exploration venture in Vietnam and Malaysia. Pertamina had offer onshore Kendal bloc, which is located in Central Java, to be jointly explored, and the block's data room had been accessed by Petronas and PetroVietnam. But thus far, both companies had not concluded their review. (godang)
