The LGV station is evidence of Pertamina and TNI?s commitment to support the government?s Blue Sky program aimed to reduce the consumption of oil fuels and convert from oil to gas, Pertamina said in a statement.
To mark the operation of the LGV station, interim President Director of Pertamina Muhammad Husen accompanied by TNI?s Inspector General Lt. Gen Syafril Mahyudin filled the tanks of the operational vehicles of the TNI headquarters with LGV that carries Pertamina?s brand ?Vi-Gas?.
The Vi-Gas is made of propane (C3) and butane (C4) with specifications suitable for motor vehicles in compliance with Directorate General of Oil and Gas Decree No. 2527.K/24/DJM/2007. Vi-Gas is more than 98 RON type of fuel.
Pertamina said LGV is the third largest type of fuel used for vehicles around the world, after gasoline and diesel. It is used by more than 23 million vehicles globally and it is available at 67,000 gas stations across the world, Husen said.
In Indonesia, Vi-Gas is now available at 11 Pertamina?s gas stations in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area and thee gas stations in Bali. Pertamina is now expanding the Vi-Gas service to eight other gas stations in Jabodetabek.
