PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, a trading subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has opened up 76 units of green energy station (GES).
Pertamina said in a statement Wednesday that the 76 units of GES are scattered in a number of provinces including three in Lampung, 43 in Banten, Jakarta and West Java, 13 in Central Java and Yogyakarta, and 17 in East Java.
President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution said in a statement that GES is a new concept, an integrated service for consumers at Pertamina gas stations with four main concepts, namely green, future, digital, and high tier fuel as Pertamina's commitment to support the Grand National Strategy that has been set by the government, especially in the energy transition program and operations that are more environmentally friendly.
Alfian further elaborated that the Green concept is related to the use of solar Photo voltaic (PV) or solar power plants as an independent and environmentally friendly energy source. “Solar PV has a significant impact on reducing pollution, the greenhouse effect, and the efficiency of gas station operating costs. For gas stations with a capacity of 6.3 Kwp Solar PV, the average monthly savings is around 12.5 percent of the total electricity usage for operations, "he said.

The second concept, Future offers a new service, namely the EV charging station (SPKLU) or EV battery swap station (SPBKLU). "This is our support to strengthen and accelerate the preparation of the downstream ecosystem of battery-based electric motor vehicles (KBLBB) in Indonesia. Currently, there are charging stations at Fatmawati II gasoline station, MT Haryono gasoline station, Lenteng Agung gasoline station, Kuningan gasoline station, and Soekarno Hatta gasoline station which can still be enjoyed free of charge. This year we are also preparing battery swap station at several gasoline stations to support the development of electric motor users," explained Alfian.
The third and fourth concepts are already quite familiar, namely Digital and High Tier Fuel. Digitization and continuous education about quality fuels, namely the Pertamax Series and DexSeries, have become one of the main programs of Pertamina’s trading arm.
“GES will be a one stop energy solution that is environmentally friendly. We will run in the direction of the energy transition and we hope that GES in other regions can continue to accelerate the process, and the presence of this GES can contribute to reducing carbon emissions by 2030 by up to 29 percent as announced by the government," explained Alfian.
