Pertamina, partners to drill Java exploration well in 2010

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina and its South East Asian partners will drill one wildcat exploration well in Randu Gunting PSC onshore Central Java next year.

Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) Director Dwi Martono told Petromindo.Com that the well will be the first well drilled under the tri-partite partnership between Pertamina, Malaysia?s Petronas and Petrovietnam Investment and Development Company (PIDC).

Pertamina has 40 percent interest in the block, while PIDC and Petronas equally share the remaining balance.

Martono said PHE would soon take over the 40 percent interest in the block from its parent company Pertamina. (bernard)
