PT Pertamina has teamed up with distributor Harvest Time Enterprises to market its lubricants in western Australia, around three years after the state oil and gas firm exported such products to eastern Australia.

The agreement between Pertamina and Harvest Time was signed earlier on January 18 in Jakarta, and the official ceremony of the launch was conducted March 2.

Director of Marketing and Trading at Pertamina Djaelani Sutomo is upbeat about the prospect in the new area, while highlighting Pertamina?s success in exporting its lubricants to over 20 countries in the last 4 years.

?We chose Perth because it is an economically vibrant city. It is also the center of mining business in Australia, in addition to its attractive automotive sector,? Djaelani said.

In 2011, Pertamina exported 190,000 kiloliters of lubricants of its total sales of 634,000 kiloliters.
