PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, the fuel trading subsidiary of Indonesia’s state-owned energy company PT Pertamina, has entered a strategic partnership with Princeton Digital Group (PDG), a leading data center provider in the Asia-Pacific region. The collaboration focuses on the use of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), also known as Pertamina Renewable Diesel, to power PDG's data center operations in Indonesia.

The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Jakarta on Tuesday, September 9.

Through this initiative, both companies aim to demonstrate how synergy between energy providers and industry users can accelerate national decarbonization efforts while simultaneously enhancing long-term business competitiveness.

The use of renewable diesel in data centers marks a significant step toward reducing carbon emissions in one of the most energy-intensive sectors, supporting Indonesia’s broader sustainability goals.
