State oil and gas company Pertamina and Malaysia state oil and gas firm Petronas will resume gas supply negotiation today in Jakarta, according to an industry source.
Negotiation is underway to supply 300 million standard cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of natural gas from South Sumatra gas producers including Gulf Indonesia Resources, Pertamina and YPF Maxxus and 100 MMCFD from Premier Oil?s gas field offshore West Natuna to Malysia through pipeline.
The source said negotiation, which commenced June last year, had been progressing slowly.
?I don?t know the reason, but Petronas seems to slowing down negotiation,? said the source.
Earlier, a senior executive from Gulf Indonesia said he hoped gas deal from South Sumatra to Malaysia could be concluded in June this year. (godang)
