Pertamina picks partners to operate maturing blocks

Pertamina EP Corporate Secretary Suharyanto said Perlak block in Aceh is given to Pacific Oil Gas, Sungai Lilin Block in Jambi is given to Geo Corporation and Tanjung Tiga Timur block is given to PT.Formasi Sumatra Energi. PT.Geraldo Putra Mandiri gets Ibul Tenggara block in South Sumatra, Pertamina?s subsidiary PT.Elnusa gets Sambidoyong block in West Java and Wiriagar Block in Papua, PT.Duta Firza gets Bangkudulis block in East Kalimantan. All the 7 blocks are producing blocks.
Pertamina also picks PT. Indelberg Indonesia Perkasa to co-operate Suci exploration blocks and PT. Saripari Pertiwi Abadi to co-operate Kendal exploration block, both are located in Central Java. PT. Remaja Bangun Kencana is picked to co-operate Kamundan exploration block in Papua.
Suharyanto said there was no winner for Uno, Dos Rayu and Tebat Agung blocks. He did not say why. Other two blocks, Tanjung Barat (South Kalimantan) and Tebing (South Sumatra) failed to get bidders, he said.
Signing ceremony will be held in Subang, West Java on march 21, 2007, when President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is expected to inaugurate energy-related projects, he said.
As part of effort to boost production, Pertamina has earlier opened bid to pick suitable partners to co-manage its maturing fields. Pertamina upstream director Sukusen Soemarinda said Feb 28, 2007 interview that as many as 29 local and international companies are competing in the bidding. (godang)
