Pertamina plans gas-fired power plant in Palu

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina plans to build a gas-fired power plant in Palu, Central Sulawesi, with the required gas to be channeled via pipeline from Bontang, East Kalimantan, Antara reported on Thursday.
Mulhanan, an official at the local administration, said that Pertamina, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the Palu city administration will soon sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the planned project.
He added that the gas from Bontang will not be only allocated for the planned power plant, but also for industries in the Palu Special Economic Zone. He did not provide further details about the power plant project. (*)
