State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina plans to build a second floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Cilacap, Central Java to help meet rising gas demand from industries in the province, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Friday.
Pertamina Gas Director Hari Karyuliarto as quoted as saying that the second FSRU would only have a capacity of 1.2 million tons per year or 160 mmscfd, lower than the FSRU in Semarang, also in Central Java, which has a capacity of 3 million tons per year, or 400 mmscfd.
