Pertamina plans to build two mini LNG plants

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina is preparing a final investment decision (FID) regarding the construction of two mini LNG plant with a combined capacity of 55 mmscfd in the eastern part of Indonesia. Total investment for the project is estimated at more than US$100 million.
?It has just been approved last week. Pertamina will take a further in-depth study first. It looks like that for now there would be two mini LNG plants, in Salawati (Papua) with a capacity of 20 mmscfd, and in Simenggaris (East Kalimantan) with a capacity of 35 mmscfd,? explained Vice President for LNG project at Pertamina, Daniel Purba, to Petromindo.com.
In terms of price for the mini LNG, Daniel said that it would depend on capacity, location, gas composition etc. ?But roughly per 20 mmscfd is around US$100 million.?
He said that Pertamina will also develop the regasification facility, adding that the company will team up with state-owned electricity firm PLN in the regasification project.
