Pertamina, PLN agree on steam price for Kamojang, Lahendong power plants

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina said it has reached agreement with state-owned electricity company PT PLN on the price of geothermal steam for the Kamojang and Lahendong geothermal power plants.

Confirming an earlier report, Pertamina said that the price of geothermal steam produced by the company for PLN?s Kamojang power plant units 1, 2, and 3 in West Java has been agreed at 6 US cents per kWh, and for unit 4 at 9.4 US cents per kWh.

It added that the price of steam for the Lahendong power plant (units 1, 2, 3 and 4) in North Sulawesi has also been agreed at 6 US cents per kWh.

Pertamina and PLN had earlier engaged in dispute over price disagreement particularly for steam supplied to the Kamojang geothermal power plant.

The statement said that the companies finally reached an agreement following meeting facilitated by State Minister of State Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno.
