Pertamina, PLN sign agreement on LNG from Arun

Oil and gas firm PT Pertamina and electricity firm PT Perusahan Listrik Negara (PLN), both owned by state, signed a Heads of Agreement (HoA) on the supply of regassified LNG from the Arun terminal in Aceh.
The HoA was signed on Monday by Pertamina?s President Director Karen Agustiawan and PLN?s President Director Nur Pamudji.
Pertamina plans to convert the Arun LNG plant into an LNG receiving terminal and build a pipeline stretching from Aceh to North Sumatra to supply gas to PLN?s power plant there.
In the same ceremony, four other gas sales agreements were signed, including one between PT Panca Amara Utama (PAU) and PT PHE Tomori Sulawesi, PT Medco EP Tomori Sulawesi and PT Tomori. The three others are the second amendment to the gas sales agreement between PT Energi Mega Persada Bentu and PT PLN for the supply of power to the area of Pekanbaru; the second amendment to the gas sales agreement between Medco EP and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) for the supply of power to the Muara Tawar power plant; and the amendment to the sales agreement between Medco EP and PT Metaepsi Pejebe Power Generation (Mepoggen).
The signing of the gas agreements were witnessed by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik and Chairman of upstream authority SKK Migas Rudi Rubiandini on the sidelines of Indogas 2013 Conference and Exhibition in Jakarta.
