Pertamina prepares $1.9b for gas infrastructure

State owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina will build an integrated gas infrastructure from Sumatra to the eastern parts of Indonesia with a total investment of US$1.9 billion.

"The fund will come from internal cashflow, global bond issue, loans and project financing," said Hari Karyuliarto, Director of Gas at Pertamina, as reported by Investor Daily.

Hari said the plan was incorporated in Pertamina's Gas Strategic Roadmap 2025 and will include the conversion of Arun LNG plant into regasification terminal, the expansion of Arun pipeline network to Medan and to other areas in Sumatra.

For the eastern parts of Indonesia, Pertamina will also develop mini gas receiving terminals in a number of areas.(*)
