Pertamina projects production from overseas assets to reach 160,000 boepd in 2019

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina through its subsidiary PT Pertamina Internasional Eksplorasi dan Produksi (PIEP) projected oil and gas production from its assets in Algeria, Iraq, and Malaysia to reach 160,000 boepd in 2019.

As of April 2015, Pertamina?s share of net output from the overseas assets reached more than 100,000 boepd, or exceeding the 94,000 boepd target, Pertamina said in a statement on Thursday.

Pertamina said Tuesday it has submitted the Plan of Development (PoD) for four wells of the fields in 405a block, Algeria it has acquired from American firm ConocoPhillips. VP Corporate Communication Wianda Pusponegoro said Pertamina will get an additional production of 30,000 bopd from the wells.

Earlier this year, Pertamina completed the acquisition of 30 percent Murphy Oil Corporation?s oil and gas assets in Malaysia.

Pertamina also owns a 10 percent stake in West Qurna-1 oil field, one of the largest in Iraq, which is operated by ExxonMobil Corp.
