The state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina has purchased some 1 million barrel of fuel from Malaysia's Petco, according to a trader who demands anonymity.
The fuel was purchased through a tender and is allocated for stocks in October when the government started the fuel price increase, the Palembang-based Sriwijaya Post daily reported.
The paper said that the fuel product was bought at a price higher than the average at Singapore $5.50 per ton. The price was also $1 higher than the price in September.
The price was higher partly due to the various mixing process.
Pertamina bought 1.6 million barrel of fuel from Petco in September. (*)
