Pertamina puts 7 blocks on joint operation tender

Pertamina EP, an upstream unit of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina on Friday announced the opening of tender to find partners to operate seven oil, gas blocks in Sumatra, Java and Papua.

The company said the seven blocks consist of two production blocks and five exploration-production blocks.

The company said in a release that the production blocks offered are: 1) Tangai-Sukananti and 2) Loyak-Talanggula, both are located in South Sumatra.

Exploration-production blocks offered are: 1) Rantau Deep Utara, 2) Rantau Deep Selatan; both located in North Sumatra, 3) Pemalang (Central Java), 4)Tuban Selatan (East Java) and 5) Klamono, Papua.

Under the so called joint operation deal, exploration-production partners will sign 20 ?year contracts with Pertamina and production partners will get 15-year contracts.

Tender info will be available on August 24-September 18, while data access to be opened from August 24-October 2. Bid document submission will be held throughout November 2-6.(kanti)
