Pertamina puts more blocks on JO tender

Pertamina EP, an upstream unit of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) announced on Wednesday the opening of tender to find joint operations (JO) partners for six oil, gas marginal blocks in Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan.

The company said the fields offered consist of four exploration-production areas namely: Tebat Agung and Tanjung Lontar Sumatera Selatan, both are located in South Sumatra, Jambi Barat in Jambi and Tanjung Barat South Kalimantan; and two production fields namely Sambidoyong West Java and Zona Serang Deep in North Sumatra.

This is the third time Pertamina EP holds such tender.

At the second tender earlier this year, the company offered seven fields for joint operations, but only two drew bidders.

Under the JO scheme, Pertamina EP will grant winner maximum contract of 20 years for exploration-production areas and maximum contract of 15 years for production areas.

Tender info will be available from January 25 to March 1, 2010 and data can be accessed from January 25-March 5, 2010. Document submission period will be from March 29-31, 2010.
