Pertamina quickens dynamic killing activity in Prabumulih

PT Pertamina EP has continued its efforts of expediting its activities to tackle the kick occurred in the well of TLJ 25 INF in Sukaraja subdistrict of Prabumulih, South Sumatra, on Wednesday (3rd April 2013).

As of Tuesday afternoon, a number of equipment needed for implementing the activity had arrived, while barite, a chemical substance to make heavy mud had been prepared at a total volume of 3,000 bbl.

As an initial step of the dynamic killing, the company will conduct a simulation of water injection to control the wild-bursts started to blowout on Wednesday.

Before proceeding with the activity, the company has also evacuated all local people living nearby to a safe location, where a temporary learning facility is also built for school-age children, and also an emergency health facility prepared.
