Pertamina raises fuel prices for industry

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina raised retail prices for several non-subsidized fuels for industry beginning June 15, 2008.

Pertamina said in Jakarta Monday that the company?s move to increase the retail prices for fuels compared to June 01 prices was in line with the increases in Means of Platts Singapore (MOPS) prices by around 0.3 percent and 3.0 percent.

Prices for premium gasoline has been raised by 3.0 percent to Rp 8,868.89 (US$= Rp 9,300) per liter, kerosene by 0.6 percent to Rp 11,105.42 per liter and marine fuel oil (MFO) by 0.3 percent to Rp 6,438.84 per liter.

The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) also increased by 0.8 percent to Rp 10,897.72 per, while the price of marine diesel fuel (MDF) rose to Rp 10,655.57 per liter.

Meanwhile the new price for Pertamax in Jakarta, Banten, and West Java is Rp 10,000 compared with Rp 9,800 per liter previously. The price of Pertamax Plus in the same regions have been raised to Rp 10,300 from Rp 10,050 per liter, while Pertamina Dex's price increased to Rp 12,700 from Rp 12,600 per liter and BioPertamax to Rp 10,000 from Rp 9,800 per liter.

Prices of fuels for public transportation are maintained at Rp 6,000 per liter for premium gasoline and Rp 5,500 per liter for HSD. Price for subsidized kerosene for household and small industry consumption is maintained at Rp. 2,500 per liter. (bernard)
