Pertamina raises fuel prices for industry

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina raised retail prices for several oil-based fuels for industry beginning May 1.
Under the decree signed on April 30, 2007, Pertamina sets new prices for diesel fuel, diesel oil and high-speed diesel in line with the increasing Mild Oil Platts Singapore (MOPS) around 8-11.5 percent in April period.
The prices for diesel fuel has been raised by 7.7 percent to Rp 5,522 per liter, marine diesel fuel by 8 percent to Rp 5,442.80 per liter and marine fuel oil by 11.3 percent to Rp 3,587.10 per liter.
Pertamina's public relations affairs head Toharso said that the retail price for premium gasoline has been increased by 7.8 percent to Rp 5.885,70 per liter. The company has also raised the price for kerosene by up to 5.6 percent to Rp 5.672,70 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of high-octane gasoline Pertamax for Region III (Jakarta, Banten, West Java) has been increased to Rp 6,050 from Rp 5,600 per liter. The prices of Pertamax Plus and Pertamina DEX gasoline have been raised to Rp 6,350 and Rp 6,250 from Rp 5,850 and Rp 5,900 per liter, respectively.
The company has also increased the price of Biopertamax gasoline to Rp 6,050 from Rp 5,600 per liter. (godang)
