Pertamina raises fuel prices for industry

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina raised retail prices for several oil-based fuels for industry beginning August 1, 2007

 

Under the decree signed on July 30, 2007, Pertamina sets new prices for diesel fuel, diesel oil and high-speed diesel in line with the increasing Mild Oil Platts Singapore (MOPS) around 1.2 –8.8 percent in July period and the weakening of the rupiah against US dollar.

 

The price for diesel fuel has been raised by 5.6 percent to Rp 6,187.5 per liter, marine diesel fuel by 5.6 percent to 5,991.70 per liter and marine fuel oil by 7.6 percent to Rp 4,250.4 per liter.

 

Pertamina said that the retail price for premium gasoline has been increased by 2.7 percent to Rp 6,346.85 per liter and the company also has raised the price for kerosene by up to 5.6 percent to Rp 6,256.8 per liter.

 

Meanwhile, the price of high-octane gasoline remains unchanged. The price for Pertamax for Region III (Jakarta, Banten, West Java) is still at Rp 6.400 per liter. The prices of Pertamax Plus and Biopertamax gasoline are unchanged at Rp 6.500 and Rp. 6.400 per liter, respectively.

 

The price of Pertamina DEX gasoline has been increased to Rp 7.100 from Rp. 6.300 per liter in the previous month. (denny)
