Pertamina raises fuel prices for industry

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina raised retail prices for several oil-based fuels for industry beginning September 1, 2007.

 

Under the decree signed on August 30, 2007, Pertamina sets new prices for diesel fuel, diesel oil and high-speed diesel in line with the increasing Mild Oil Platts Singapore (MOPS) and the weakening of the rupiah against US dollar.

 

The price for high speed diesel (HSD) has been raised by 1.1 percent to Rp 6,254.6 per liter, marine diesel fuel (MDF) by 1.2 percent to Rp 6,065.4 per liter and marine fuel oil (MFO) by 2.8 percent to Rp 4,370.3 per liter. The company also has raised the price for kerosene by up to 5.6 percent to Rp 6,256.8 per liter.

 

Meanwhile, the price of premium gasoline has been decreased by 7.4 percent to Rp 5,877.65 per liter.

 

The price of Pertamina DEX gasoline has also been decreased to Rp 6,689.55 from Rp 7.100 per liter in the previous month.

 

Prices of fuels for public transportation are maintained at Rp 4,500 per liter for premium gasoline and Rp 4,300 per liter for HSD. Price for subsidized kerosene for household and small industry consumption is maintained at Rp. 2,000 per liter. (denny)
