Pertamina raises fuel prices for industry

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina raised retail prices for several oil-based fuels for industry beginning October 1, 2007.
Under the decree signed on September 27, 2007, Pertamina sets new prices for diesel fuel, diesel oil and high-speed diesel in line with the increasing Mild Oil Platts Singapore (MOPS) and the weakening of the rupiah against US dollar.
The price for high speed diesel (HSD) has been raised by 5.6 percent to Rp 6,607.7 per liter, marine diesel fuel (MDF) by 6.5 percent to Rp 6,457.0 per liter and marine fuel oil (MFO) by 2.2 percent to Rp 4,489.1 per liter. The company also has raised the price for kerosene by up to 5.1 percent to Rp 6,635.2 per liter.
The price of premium gasoline has been increased by 5.2 percent to Rp 6,181.25 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of high-octane gasoline for Pertamax for Region III (
The price of Pertamina DEX gasoline has been also increased to Rp 7,500 from Rp. 7,150 per liter in the previous month.
Prices of fuels for public transportation are maintained at Rp 4,500 per liter for premium gasoline and Rp 4,300 per liter for HSD. Price for subsidized kerosene for household and small industry consumption is maintained at Rp. 2,000 per liter. (denny)
