Pertamina raises fuel prices for industry by up to 21.7 percent

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina raised retail prices for several-based fuels for industry by up to 21.7 percent beginning December 1, 2007.

Pertamina?s communication division head Wisnuntoro said in Jakarta Friday that the company?s move to raise the fuel prices was in line with the increasing means of Mean Oil Platts Singapore (MOPS) around 14.6 percent and 21.7 percent.

Prices for premium gasoline has been increased by 16.6 percent to Rp 7,450.85 (1US$= Rp 9,300) per liter, kerosene by 21.7 percent to Rp 8,347.9 per liter.

The price for high-speed diesel (HSD) has been raised by 15.9 percent to Rp7,939.8 per liter, marine diesel fuel (MDF) by 15.9 percent to Rp 7,700 per liter, marine fuel oil (MFO) by 20.4 percent to Rp5,750.8 per liter

Meanwhile new prices for Pertamax in Jakarta, Banten, and West Java is Rp7,500 per liter from the previous Rp6,950 per liter. Prices for Pertamax Plus in the same regions have been raised to Rp7,850 per liter from the previous Rp7,150 per liter, Pertamina Dex to Rp8,600 per liter from the previous Rp8,100 per liter and BioPertamax to RpRp7,500 per liter from the previous Rp6,950 per liter.

Prices for Pertamax, Pertamax Plus, Pertamina Dex, and BioPertamax in other regions have also been raised to between Rp600 and Rp700 per liter.

Prices of fuels for public transportation are maintained at Rp 4,500 per liter for premium gasoline and Rp 4,300 per liter for HSD. Price for subsidized kerosene for household and small industry consumption is maintained at Rp. 2,000 per liter. (godang)
