Pertamina ready to compete for oil, gas blocks in Iran

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina is competing with two other companies for Ab Teymour and Mansouri oil and gas blocks in Iran, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Thursday.
The paper quoted Pertamina Upstream Director Syamsu Alam as saying that the company is set to submit a revised proposal to the Iranian authorities. He said that the proposal would be first discussed with the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), the operator of the two blocks.
?The target (to complete the proposal) is end February, but it may be sooner,? he said.
He said that Pertamina is competing with two other firms for operating interest in the two blocks. He did not disclose the name of the two competitors. (*)
