Pertamina ready to sign special contract with PLN

The plan by state power company PLN to import 1 million kiloliter of its fuel needs this year has disappointed the management of state oil and gas company Pertamina. Investor Daily reported Friday.
As the two are state companies, Pertamina said it was ready to provide discount for PLN?s fuel purchase from Pertamina and ensure distribution of PLN?s fuel needs throughout the country. If necessary, Pertamina is ready to sign a special contract with PLN, Pertamina president Ari H. Soemarno said.
PLN's director for power generation and prime energy Ali Herman Ibrahim said in Jakarta in Jan 24. that the company would soon open the tender for the purchase of diesel oil directly from overseas market. (*)
