Pertamina receives financing for LNG Badak refinery project

The state oil and gas firm Pertamina has received some US$303 million to finance the rehabilitation of the LNG Badak refinery facility in Bontang, according to Pertamina public relations officer Ridwan Nyak Baik.
He said that most of the financing facility was provided by Japan Bank for International Cooperation, while some 30 percent came from various local and overseas banks.
The Bontang facility started operation in 1977. Now it has 8 trains with annual production capacity of 21.64 million ton per year.(*)
