Pertamina refineries run normally after earthquake

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina said on Wednesday that its crude refineries in Balongan, West Java and Cilacap in Central Java were unaffected by powerful earthquake that struck the western part of Java on Wednesday.

?The refineries? operations are unaffected (by quake),? said Processing Director Rukmi Hadihartini.

A powerful magnitude 7.4 earthquake rocked major cities and shook buildings, triggering a tsunami alert and sending workers scurrying outside their buildings.

Operations of Pertamina?s ONWJ oil and gas field in West Java is also unaffected, Sulistya Hastuti Spokesman for upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said. (godang)
