Pertamina reports higher production at Siak block

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), an upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said that oil production rate at the Siak block in Riau during the first quarter of this year reached 1,753 bopd, higher than the initial target of 1,621 bopd.

Field Manager of PHE Siak, Nusdi Septika was quoted by Bisnis Indonesia as saying Tuesday that the production was contributed by three fields including Lindai with output of 607 bopd, Manggala South at 136 bopd, and Batang 1,010 bopd.

?The achievement was partly due to the success of the huff and puff program at the wells in Batang field,? Nusdi said. (*)
