Pertamina reports net profit of Rp 14.8 trillion

State owned oil and gas firm Pertamina booked a net profit of Rp 14.8 trillion in the first semester of this year, a 70.39 percent increase compared to Rp 8.68 trillion in the same period of last year.
State Minister of State Enterprises Mustafa Abubakar said that Pertamina recorded the highest increase in net profit compared to other state enterprises.
He said that the solid first half performance of Pertamina was mainly driven by the strong oil price during the period.
Pertamina also saw its operation income in the first semester increased by 25.15 percent to Rp 279.31 trillion from Rp 223.18 trillion in the same period of last year. Assets increased by 3.95 percent to Rp 327.17 trillion. (giok)
