Pertamina reschedules crude oil supply from Aramco

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has rescheduled the supply of crude oil from Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) until 2005 due to the delay in the former company's plan to carry out maintenance activities at the Cilacap I refinery plant, Bisnis Indonesia daily reported Saturday.
Dwi Kushartoyo, the deputy head of Pertamina's downstream department said in Jakarta on Friday that the state oil company had negotiated the rescheduling of the crude oil supply from Aramco. "We need to inform them in advance about the supply schedules," he said.
He said that the maintenance of the Cilacap I refinery plant was initially planned to be carried out in September. In order to ensure sufficient fuel supply at home during the second round of the presidential elections later this month, but the maintenance activities were rescheduled until early next year.
Pertamina has signed a long-term import contract with Aramco to meet the country?s crude oil needs. Under the contract, Pertamina is allowed to review prices every three months. (*)
