State oil and gas company PT Pertamina restarted liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production at its Balongan refinery in Indramayu, West Java on Tuesday.
Pertamina halted the LPG production on May 9 due to a technical problem at the refinery's RCC unit.
Pertamina said in a statement that the LPG distribution to Jakarta, West Java and surrounding areas would be back to normal in the next two days.
Balongan has a capacity of processing 125,000 barrels per day of crude oil. The refinery accounts for about 10 percent of Pertamina's refining capacity. (denny)
