Pertamina, Reykjavik Energy ink geothermal agreement

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PEG), a unit of state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina and Reykjavik Energy, Icelandic state-owned enterprise, signed in a memorandum of understanding on possibility to develop geothermal resources in Indonesia  , the company official said.

 

"Under the agreement effective for one year, Reykjavik Energy would provide technical assistance for PEG," PEG's Operational Director Suryadarma said on Tuesday. 

After one year, the agreement would be evaluated to ascertain whether geothermal could be jointly developed. Afterward, the two parties would conduct joint study, said Suryadarma.(Bernard)
