Pertamina runs Balongan refinery at 95% capacity

State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina said Tuesday Balongan refinery in Indramayu, West Java was currently operating at 95 percent of its capacity.

"We hope that full capacity will be achieved by this week," Pertamina deputy Dwi Kushartoyo told Petromindo.Com.

Last month, Balongan?s production dropped by 60 percent following damage at its residue catalytic cracker (RCC) unit.

Balongan refinery, which has a capacity of 125,000 barrels per day, supplies 30 percent of the country?s fuel demands, particularly in Jakarta, West Java and Banten. (godang)
