Pertamina?s asset in Gabon starts production at 30,000 bopd

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero) said that its oil asset in Gabon has started production with a rate of 30,000 bpd.

?Production is about 30,000 bopd. It (production life time) is still long, more than 15 years,? said Pertamina Upstream Director Syamsu Alam on Wednesday.

Syamsu said that Pertamina will continue to look for overseas assets. The company so far has overseas assets located in nine countries including Canada, France, Italy, Myanmar, Namibia, Tanzania, Nigeria, Gabon, and Colombia.

The assets in Gabon and Nigeria have already been in production stage, while the others are still in exploration stage.
