Pertamina?s CNG mother station obtains contract

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a gas distribution subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said its CNG mother station in Cibitung, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province, has set a sales volume target of 2-3.5 mmscfd for this year, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Friday.

Pertagas President Director Hendra Jaya acknowledged that the company has obtained orders from a number of industries in Banten, but so far only one has formally signed the contract, which is the Sinar Mas Group.

?The CNG mother station has a capacity of 4 mmscfd. It is expected that sales volume until end of this year to reach 2-3.5 mmscfd,? he said.

Pertagas started in November of last year the commercial operation of the CNG mother station, whose main consumers are expected to be industries in Cibitung area and other parts of Banten. (*)
